MATE ROV

The MATE ROV Competition uses underwater robotics (ROVs) to inspire and challenge students to learn and creatively apply scientific, engineering, and technical skills to solving real-world problems. This competition challenges K-12, community college, and university students from all over the world to tackle missions based on scenarios from the workplace, encouraging students to work together, network, and learn from technical professionals (as well as each other).

WHO WE ARE

We are a team of Homeschooled high schoolers who will be participating in the U.N. Decade of the Ocean, Mate Year of the Great Lakes: Monitoring and mitigating the impacts of climate change on our world. Our mission this year is to design and build a Remote-Operated Vehicle (which requires sensors, toolings, etc), which will help combat climate change, provide clean energy, and prevent ecosystems from invasive species.

OUR TEAM

OUR SPONSORS
